Milton Tracking Toward Florida; Landfall Tonight


Hurricane Milton, currently a powerful Category 4 storm, is moving rapidly towards Florida's Gulf Coast. With winds of around 145 mph, Milton is expected to make landfall late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, possibly near Tampa or Sarasota. The hurricane has triggered widespread warnings, with authorities urging residents in the storm’s path to evacuate or make final preparations.


Storm surges could reach up to 10 feet in some areas, posing severe risks of coastal flooding. Inland, heavy rainfall threatens flash flooding, particularly in urban regions.
